Water collecting in fridge

I have a hotpoint rf07 fridge freezer, everthing seems to work ok but the fridge collects water inside on the bottom and when you open the door water runs down the side of the freezer door and a pool of water collects on the floor,is this just a case of de-frosting the freezer,if anyone could advice me on what to do this would be gratefully appreciated.

Look in back of fridge and find the drain tube it lets the wter from defrosts trickle into the vaporizer pan in back by the compressor. they pug up. you can clear it with a good wet dry shop vac and good suction on the tube. you should be able to hear suction inside the freezer when you **** it in the back. sometimes these plug up then freeze. you can take interior panels apart in freezer to access or thaw it 48 hours then try the vac. good luck

Kelvinator F/Freezer not working. Not fuse

I had same problem and got the solution in part from this fixya site. (thank you). my fridge freezer bulb blew when I was cleaning out fridge because the back wall used to get iced up at least once a week. This was due to the door seal not fully sealing hence warm air getting in and causing the ice to form. Anyway, having replaced the fuse in the plug (and testing out the wall socket with another electrical appliance just to be sure that the mains power was working)and replacing the bulb, the fridge freezer still wouldnt work even though the light came on. Got a peplacement thermostat unit from local repair shop and fitted it myelf. I am not goo with this type of repair ususlly and generally if its electrical I dont do it but this time it was either spend £20.00 and possibly fix fridge or spend £300 replacing it. I photographed the connections from the thermostat BEFORE I removed any wires so that it would be put back together correctly. IT WORKED! If I can do this by myself then anybody who can physically use a screwdriver, can do it. there is only one screw to take out. The rest of the job is simply prising off the housing from the interior fridge wall and clicking it back int place again. simples.

Kenmore 5.1 cu.ft. chest freezer with manual defrost (model # 255.19502) is not meeting my expectations. It was replaced by Sears after its previous model, 19502/19702 crashed while still under warranty. This model appears to be even more poorly made than the previous model. After my husband died and I had fewer family events to prepare, I downsized to a small chest freezer. They are hard to find! Consumers must not be using them much? Today I defrosted this model for the first time. The hard part was not finding the plug, but the hole where water drains out the exterior. It was taking forever, and I had a small test tube brush to clean out any debris caught in the hole. It was not clear to me where the drainage hole is supposed to be? Since I never received a manual of instructions, even online, I finally turned the whole unit over so I could inspect underneath. I won't describe my opinion of the way it is put together. I finally turned it right side up and used a few towels to absorb the rest of the water. Trying to drain the water into a shallow pan only produced a few tablespoons and it was not clear to me where it was coming from, but it had to be where the hole for the plug is? However, when I had it upside down, there was silver tape over the bottom where the drainage hole might have been but I did not want to incur damage by removing the tape. Thank you for clarifying for my next defrost.

Mae sure you leave the freezer upright for 24hours before you operate as the oil from the compressor drains out and you will ruin your freezer.
