Frigidiare upright freezer has just stopped cooling
I was hoping it would be something like a cracked door seal, or a faulty thermostat, etc., but after reading the rest of your info, I've concluded the likely cause is a slow leak in the refridgerant line(s). I've seen many of these fairly new upright freezers with this problem.
Finding the leak is easy for a service tech to find, but the cost of the service tech isn't cheap and unfortunately, the repair cost will probably exceed the cost of a new freezer, but you can try to call a repair tech and see if they can give you a rough estimate over the phone or if they think it's worth fixing, etc.
My advice is to replace it. The cost of food you've lost has probably exceeded the price of a new freezer - and you've had this happen twice now. These days it seems that some appliances are being designed and built as "throw aways" due to the high repair cost.
Wished I had some better news for you, but unless you've got all the specialty tools; (charging gauges, vaccum pump, Freon, etc.) needed to do the repair yourself, along with the technical knowledge, it's likely not worth having the repair service contracted.
